The GCAS’s annual meeting on November 19, 2025, resulted in the election of 4 new members to our GCAS Board of Directors, each of whom will serve a 3-year term! GCAS members voted with unanimous approval to maintain a full 9-member board plus one alternate who will be available in case of another board member’s absence. Your Board members who will be handling GCAS business are:
TERM ENDING 2026: Eduardo Argüello, Gary Barnett, Bill Hudson, & Valerie McCaffrey
TERM ENDING 2027: Marilyn Gendron & Deborah Whittemore
TERM ENDING 2028: Ken Driese, Marilyn Markel (alternate), Kathryn McCarroll, & Marianne Smith
Our Honorary Director: Mary Margaret Soulé
The GCAS Bylaws authorize the Board of Directors to nominate their own members to serve as officers (president, vice president, secretary, & treasurer). However, the Board can accommodate any GCAS member who volunteers themselves for a board or officer position. Thank you, to all those who’ve stepped up already, and to those who will step up in the future, to keep the GCAS’s mission of preservation moving forward!
